The Bumper Sticker:
We help plan localized events for non-profits involved in the preservation of structures or open space.
The Big Picture:
We pull together chefs, musicians, brewers, local merchants and an organization bent on the preservation of a building or plot of land to create a local, community-building event which attracts the attention of an entire town and it’s neighbors. The goal is to have an event that is so much fun, that people can’t help but want to be involved in an ongoing relationship with a goal. Events that work make people want to donate, not for a tax deduction, but because the story is so compelling, and the potential result such a benefit to the local community that the draw is irresistible.
Events that work draw in a multiple set of participants, who are sponsors in their own way. Outdoor barbecues, indoor winter dances, farm festivals, or simply concerts. All can serve as focal points to showcase a property in distress, and bring the legions of an entire town to action.
With long-held farmland in peril, and wonderful school buildings and churches closing at record paces, the inventory of endangered public spaces is increasing at frightening speeds. These buildings and spaces were once vital to the life of the community, and they need to stay that way. Through intelligent and sensitive adaptive reuse, they can stay open to the community as centers of nature, or arts and education, or a variety of other uses.
We can provide a number of services based on the needs and desires of the client.
